The fruit in our latest Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced entirely from a high altitude (850m) vineyard in Orange, NSW. This wine has a complex and elegant nose, with lovely ripe blackberry and blackcurrant fruit aromas, coffee, stylish spicy French oak, and hints of mint and leafiness. The palate has magnificent richness and ripeness, with the typical cool climate elegance and structure we get from these high altitude vineyards. There is fantastic flavour density and volume, and dark fruit flavours mingle with the dense fine-grained tannin profile. This great cool climate style is classy and elegant, crammed with flavour, complexity and richness. This wine is drinking well with food at the moment, and will gain even more harmony in time as the tannins gradually soften. Great with rich meaty dishes, drink now and into the next decade.
