The Old Block vineyard tends to produce citrussy fruit with an attractive lightness and gentleness. The resultant wine is very easy drinking, without any heaviness.
The juice was fermented in old French oak barrels with regular battonage (lees stirring) which adds interesting leesy (biscuit/dough/honey) aromas to the lemon butter and nectarine.
The palate is soft and gentle, with juicy lemon flavours, and has a lovely lightness making for an ideal summer style.
Very versatile with food, particularly seafood.
Drink now to 2016.
