The Old Block Chardonnay vineyard tends to produce citrussy fruit flavours within a framework of moderate sugar and acid, making for very easy drinking Chardonnay.
The juice was fermented in mainly old French oak barrels (with 8% new) with regular battonage (lees stirring) which adds interesting leesy (biscuit/dough) aromas to the lemon butter and nectarine.
The palate is soft and gentle, with juicy lemon/peach flavours, and has a lovely lightness making for an ideal summer style.
Very versatile with food, particularly seafood.
Drink now to 2020.
