Our Reserve Pinot Noir is made entirely from fruit grown at Rowlee Vineyard in Orange at an altitude of 850m.
It has a deep and complex nose of ripe cherry and raspberry, funky meaty notes, and spices.
The palate is light-medium bodied, quite feminine and delicate, yet with good flesh and length of flavour.
Partial wild fermentation using indigenous grape yeast and maturation in new and seasoned French oak has added texture and complexity to this soft, silky and very easy drinking wine.
Minimal filtration may result in a small deposit with time.
Best served with fuller flavoured dishes such as veal, chicken, duck.
Drink now to 2019.
"Who'd have thought? A producer from the NSW Southern Highlands, using grapes grown Orange. It sounds like a mere means to an end, but it's anything but. It's complex, a touch provocative, shows twigs, spice and plums, and reaches out through the finish. This is a treasure where none was expected to be found."
