The fruit in our latest Reserve Shiraz is grown at Angullong vineyard in Orange NSW at 660m altitude, and shows perfectly ripe Shiraz characters.
There are aromas of walnut and almond, spiced blackberry, prune, coffee grinds and black olive.
The palate has beautiful ripe flavours and richness, and with a lovely lacing of ripe silky tannin. Balanced acidity provides structural support to the soft, round texture - perfect with red meat.
For best enjoyment, remove cork and let breathe for an hour before serving.
This wine will age very well over the next 5 years. A harmless crystalline deposit will form due to minimal filtration.
"Bright-but-dark colour; licoricey heart of flavour though with cherry-plum and violets in support; flings of spice without anything too overt; integrated smoky/saucy oak; fine-grained tannin and a lengthy finish. In all, a beautiful shiraz." 95 points- James Halliday Wine Companion 2016
