The Old Block Chardonnay vineyard tends to produce citrussy fruit flavours within a framework of moderate sugar and acid, making for very easy drinking Chardonnay.
The juice was fermented in old French oak barrels with regular battonage (lees stirring) which adds interesting leesy (biscuit/dough) aromas to the lemon butter and nectarine.
The palate is soft and gentle, with juicy lemon/peach flavours, and has a lovely lightness making for an ideal summer style.
Very versatile with food, particularly seafood.
Drink now to 2020.
