The fruit in our latest Reserve Shiraz Viognier is grown at Angullong vineyard in Orange NSW, at 660m altitude.
This wine is a blend of 97% Shiraz with 3% Viognier.
Viognier is included to provide heightened aromatic complexity, and to contribute texture to the palate.
There are bright, fragrant aromas of wild berry and ripe spice.
The medium-bodied palate has beautifully ripe and elegant flavours with a lovely lacing of ripe silky tannin. This vintage has a more feminine feel to the wine and is extremely drinkable as a result - perfect with red meat.
For best enjoyment, remove cork and let breathe for an hour before serving.
This wine will age very well over the next 5 years. A harmless deposit could form due to minimal filtration.
