The fruit for this wine was grown at our Bridgecreek vineyard in Orange at an altitude of 850m, giving the wine excellent cool-climate fruit definition. The blend is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot.
The complex nose reveals aromas of red currant, raspberry, earthy plum, bay leaf and dried herbs, espresso and dark chocolate.
The palate has definite Cabernet elegance and structure, with a generous and fleshy mouthfeel/texture from the Merlot component.
This cool-climate style has lovely palate weight and balance, and a long satisfying finish.
Great with beef and lamb.
