Our 2015 Reserve Pinot Gris was made from fruit grown at both Rowlee Vineyard in Orange, NSW, and Bowral in the Southern Highlands.
We make 2 different wines from Pinot Gris – the lighter-styled Grigio which is picked earlier, and the richer-styled Gris which is picked later.
The fruit for this wine was beautifully ripened allowing us to make a superior Gris style showing superb varietal character.
The juice was entirely fermented in 7-10 year old French oak barrels.
The fresh and complex nose shows spicy pear and yellow apple, together with subtle exotic tropical fruits.
There are beautiful palate flavours of ripe golden delicious apple, juicy pear, and texture gained from maturation on lees in old barrels.
A very easy wine to drink pairing well with pork, chicken, richer seafood.
Drink now to 2020.
