Our House Block Pinot Noir is normally made entirely from fruit grown here at the Bowral vineyards, but in 2017 we had significantly reduced crops so the final blend comprises both Orange and Southern Highlands fruit.
It has a complex nose of earthy cherry, plum, herbs & spice. The supportive oak provides depth to the aroma.
The palate is light bodied, soft and silky, with juicy cherry flavours leading into a long and satisfying finish.
Partial wild fermentation using indigenous grape yeast and maturation in new and seasoned French oak has added texture and complexity to this easy drinking style.
Minimal filtration may result in a small deposit with time.
Great with hors d’oeuvres and fantastic with fuller flavoured dishes such as veal, chicken, duck.
Drink now to 2024.
