Rob Geddes MW Reviews Centennial (Video)

Centennial Vineyards & Winery Video Tour

With more than 8 varieties of grape vines planted across 80 acres, our vines reflect the the cool climate they love with vibrant colours through autumn, shades of green in spring and summer and the starkness of brown bark in winter. Activities in the vineyard run throughout the year, from budburst in spring to harvest in autumn and pruning in winter.

Cellar Door

Centennial’s cellar door is open 7 days. Visitors can taste a selection of award winning wines surrounded by the inviting French Provincial decor that gives the feeling of being welcomed into a home rather than a business. The cellar door even has a fire in winter. The friendly staff are all locals with a passion for wine and the Southern Highlands.

The Seasons

The Southern Highlands is renowned for the changing seasons. Magnificient gardens reflect this with vibrant colours in spring and autumn. Centennial Vineyards is part of this rich local tapestry with splashes of daffodils, blossom and new life in spring and yelllow and orange hues in autumn. The vineyard is one element to the working farm that makes up Centennial and calves can often be seen beside the driveway. In winter the sheep do their thing in the vines, feeding under the vines and fertilizing at the same time.

The winery at Centennial Vineyards is busy all year with the peak of activity at vintage which runs from March to May. Once vintage finishes other tasks come to the fore – checking barrels, blending, bottling and cleaning tanks. Then it’s time for vintage again.

With views across the vineyards, Centennial provides a magnificent location for your special day. Photographic opportunities include the vineyard and gardens providing a rustic country and or elegant estate backgrounds. The elegant charm of Centennial Vineyards Restaurant adapts to the seasons with alfresco dining in summer when the glass doors to the patio can be opened while in winter guests can enjoy the large open fire.
