Centennial Vineyards 2018 House Block Pinot Noir is made entirely from fruit grown at our cool-climate Bowral vineyards in the Southern Highlands. It is made using the 777, 114, 115, and 667 clones of Pinot Noir. The 2018 growing season was warm and dry enabling lovely ripe flavours with excellent concentration.
It has a complex nose of stewed rhubarb, earthy cherry, plum, and lovely fresh herbs & spice. The supportive oak provides depth to the aroma. The palate is light-medium bodied with ripe, fleshy flavours and silky tannins leading into a long and satisfying finish.
Partial wild fermentation using indigenous grape yeast and maturation in new and seasoned French oak has added texture and complexity to this style. Minimal filtration may result in a small deposit with time. Great with hors d’oeuvres and fantastic with fuller flavoured dishes such as veal, chicken, duck. Drink now to 2025.
