Our 2016 Reserve Bridge Creek Rondinella Corvina is crafted from two unique Italian red varietals grown at our Bridge Creek vineyard in Orange, NSW at an altitude of 850m.
These varietals are Rondinella and Corvina and are traditionally grown in the Veneto region in northeastern Italy, where they are predominantly used to produce the classic Amarone and Valpolicella wine styles.
We are one of only two growers in Australia of these classic and very unique varietals.
The classic Ripasso della Valpolicella wine styles are the inspiration for this unique and delicious wine whereby the inclusion of partially dried grapes (using a prune dehydrator) to the ferment has concentrated the must, adding ripe brown spices, fruitcake, dark cherry aromas and a textural, velvety palate featuring chocolate cherry flavours.
Best enjoyed below room temperature, ideally 15-17 celsius.
Great with Osso Bucco.
