This wine was made entirely from fruit grown here at the Winery Block in Bowral, and is our first Albariño release.
Albarino is traditionally grown in Spain and Portugal, and tends to produce a clean and citrussy style with high natural acidity and moderate alcohol levels. It’s refreshing, zesty flavours accompany seafood well.
To add both aromatic and textural complexity, 50% was fermented on full lees in old French Oak.
On the nose there are nutty aromas with lees and preserved citrus notes.
The fully flavoured palate has juicy, crisp citrussy acid running the full length of the palate. The lees ageing has added texture and volume resulting in an excellent summer wine. Drink now to 2025. Serve with fresh summer seafood and salads.
