Centennial Vineyards 2013 Museum Chardonnay was grown at Rowlee Vineyard in Orange NSW at 850 meters above sea level. The growing season was ideal producing ripe fruit with impeccable balance.
This has a clean, fresh nose, chicken stock, nuts, ripe pink grapefruit, stonefruit, nice complexity. Elegant and complex. Lovely detail and interest. Oak sits nicely. Palate has beautiful balance and is quite elegant yet has great texture with excellent length. Ripe pink grapefruit and nectarine flavours It has aged very well and is a fantastic Chardonnay worth every cent of $75+. It is a wine for Chardonnay lovers and will probably be wasted on others. It illustrates well the ability of high-quality cool-climate barrel matured Chardonnay to improve in the bottle.
