2016 Limited Release Cabernet Sauvignon
2016 was a great Cabernet Sauvignon season resulting in beautifully ripe fruit in perfect condition resulting in our first Limited Release Cabernet Sauvignon. The complex and fresh nose reveals aromas of spicy plum, red currant, bay leaf & dried herbs, and subtle nutty oak. The palate has excellent flavour and concentration, with rich and lingering dark fruit flavours all the way through to the long and satisfying finish. Great with beef and lamb. Keep enjoying this wine over the next 10 years.
2016 Limited Release Shiraz
The fruit in our Limited Release Shiraz is grown at Moppity Vineyard, Hilltops NSW, at 500m altitude. Reduced tonnages together with a warm/dry vintage has produced ripe and powerful Shiraz character with great concentration. There are full and seductive aromas of cocoa, chocolate, blackberry and leather. The concentrated palate has beautiful ripe fruit flavours with ripe tannins and wonderful texture. This wine is perfect with red meat right now but will harmonise further in bottle over the next 5 years. For best enjoyment, remove cork and let breathe for an hour before serving. As this wine was minimally filtered, some harmless crystals have formed. Drink now until 2025.
2017 Reserve Shiraz Viognier
The perfumed nose shows ripe, dark fruit flavours (blackberry, black plum), ripe spices, with very subtle coffee oak.The full-bodied palate has beautifully ripe and elegant flavours with a lovely lacing of ripe, silky tannin. Perfect with red meat. Drink now to 2024.
2017 Reserve Shiraz
The fruit in our latest Reserve Shiraz is grown at Angullong vineyard in Orange NSW, at 660m altitude. This vintage shows peppery dark fruit Shiraz character as a result of mild growing conditions throughout the 2017 season. There are seductive aromas of blackberry, pepper, spiced dark plum, espresso coffee, and smoky chocolate. Drink now till 2025.
2017 Reserve Rondinella Corvina
We are one of only two growers in Australia of these classic and very unique varietals.
The classic Ripasso della Valpolicella wine styles are the inspiration for this unique and delicious wine whereby the inclusion of partially dried grapes (using a prune dehydrator) to the ferment has concentrated the must, adding prune, ripe brown spices, fruitcake aromas and a textural, velvety palate featuring chocolate cherry flavours. Best enjoyed below room temperature, ideally 15-17 celsius. Great with osso bucco. Drink now till 2026.
2014 Reserve Barbera
The colour has developed as expected in this bigger berried grape. It is still fresh and perfumed with tonnes of gorgeous, sweet fruit in the form of prune, fruitcake, preserved black fruits. A beautiful lacing of chocolate adds complexity. The palate is rich, decadent, concentrated, with incredible flavour and beautiful balance, and with awesome mid-palate fleshiness finishing with silky tannins. It is a moreish red, and one for those that like their reds on the richer side.
