The fruit in our latest Reserve Shiraz is grown at Angullong vineyard in Orange NSW, at 660m altitude. This vintage shows peppery dark fruit Shiraz character as a result of mild growing conditions throughout the 2017 season. There are seductive aromas of blackberry, pepper, spiced dark plum, espresso coffee, and smoky chocolate.
The powerful and elegant palate has nice mid palate richness with lovely raspberry, ripe cherry, blueberry and pepper flavours with just the right amount of silky, ripe tannin. This wine is perfect with red meat right now but will harmonise further in bottle over the next few years. A harmless deposit could form due to minimal filtration.
For best enjoyment, remove cork and let the wine breathe for an hour before serving. Drink now until 2025.
