NV Blanc de Blancs

Our non-vintage Lumière Blanc de Blancs was made entirely from selected Chardonnay parcels from within our Bowral vineyards in the Southern Highlands and is only made in small quantities when the fruit quality is exceptional.

The many individual base wines are aged in both tank and barrels until they harmonise and reveal their true character before blending to achieve the perfect balance. The final blend is then given the méthode traditionelle of bottle fermentation and ageing on yeast lees for an extended period.

The nose has complex aromas of lemon and vanilla custard, dried yellow apple, and almond biscuit. The complex and stylish palate has nice ripeness and richness of flavour, creaminess, and lovely juicy pink grapefruit acidity, finishing long and dry. The complexity and harmony reflect well the 5 3/4 years ageing on lees and is perfect drinking now.

This elegant and complex sparkling is a wonderful expression of the Southern Highlands Climate.

 Serve chilled with hors d’oeuvres

2024 Reserve Albarino

This wine was made entirely from fruit grown here at the Winery Block in Bowral. Albarino’s thick skins afford us protection from late summer and autumn rain.

Albarino is traditionally grown in Spain and Portugal, and tends to produce a clean and citrussy style with high natural acidity and moderate alcohol levels. It’s refreshing, zesty flavours accompany seafood well. To add both aromatic and textural complexity, the juice was fermented on full lees in old French oak barrels. On the nose there are citrussy fruit aromas with nutty, saline and leesy notes as a result of the lees ageing. The juicy palate features crisp citrussy acid running alongside the mandarin, tangerine and grapefruit flavours.

The excellent 2024 growing season has produced a very flavoursome and balanced style, yet we still find a year or so in bottle helps the wine to settle down and harmonise before being released.

Excellent natural acidity will enable this wine to age well.

Drink now to 2032. Serve with fresh summer seafood and salads.

2024 Reserve Chardonnay

This wine was grown at our Bridge Creek Vineyard, Orange, NSW, at 880m altitude, and is our third Chardonnay release from this site. Vines were cropped lowly in the warm and dry 2024 growing season producing beautiful, clean fruit with excellent acidity.

Reserve Bridge Creek Chardonnay is a celebration of our elevated vineyard in Orange and tends to be a very pure expression of Chardonnay with wonderful elegance and acidity.

Traditional winemaking techniques are used to enhance complexity and balance, and only the best barrels make it into the final blend.

The growing season was warmer than average resulting in yellow apple and stone fruit flavours with excellent natural acid retention.

Whole bunch pressing followed by wild fermentation of high solids juice in top quality French oak barrels has added spice, wax, lees, malt biscuit and hints of grilled nut and nougat aromas to the apple and stone fruit core.

The finely honed and pure palate has fantastic apple and nectarine flavours together with supporting textural interest.

An elegant, pure, focussed and complex cool-climate Chardonnay style that partners well with coq au vin, roast chicken and veal.

2024 Reserve Pinot Noir

Our Reserve Pinot Noir is made entirely from fruit grown at Bowral in the Southern Highlands. 2024 was a warmer than average growing season producing delicate, gentle wines with excellent perfume. Wild fermentation of our 667 clone together with 25% whole bunch grapes has added complexity to the primary red fruit. It has a complex nose of black cherry, raspberry, herbs, ripe spices, and some interesting rich, sweet soil characters. The supportive oak provides depth to the aroma.

The palate is light-bodied, soft and silky, with intense cherry, currant, raspberry and beetroot flavours, leading into a long and satisfying finish.

True to our vineyard it is elegant and finely detailed. There are gentle tannins there which will harmonise further over the next year. Minimal filtration may result in a small deposit with time. Great with fuller flavoured dishes such as veal, chicken, duck. Drink now to 2028

About Centennial Vineyards

Centennial Vineyards is dedicated to cool climate grape growing and winemaking, leveraging high altitude to foster a cooler climate that allows our vines to ripen more slowly and evenly. This results in balanced, aromatic fruit and exceptional wines.

Sustainability is central to our approach. Our winery, farm, and Cellar Door are primarily powered by solar energy. We embrace regenerative farming techniques to enhance soil health and wine quality, focusing on composting and sustainable soil practices to keep our vineyard’s soil fertile and productive. We also strive to adhere to organic practices whenever possible. Our barrels are temperature-controlled in an underground cellar, which maintains a stable environment ideal for maturation. This cool, consistent temperature is crucial for the aging process, ensuring the production of premium quality wines.

Our Bowral estate spans 320 acres at an elevation of over 760 meters, with 60 acres dedicated to a diverse range of varieties including Chardonnay, Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Albariño, and traditional Champagne varieties such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier.

Additionally, we own 45 acres in Orange, with 14 acres currently under vine. Orange is a cool-climate region with vineyards reaching up to 1200 meters in elevation—the highest in Australia. Our Bridge Creek vineyard, located at 850 meters, benefits from ample afternoon sun and dry, continental weather, which supports the ripening of varietals such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Rondinella, Corvina, Mencía, and Shiraz. Rondinella and Corvina are rare Italian grape varieties, and we are one of only two growers of these unique grapes in Australia.

In certain years, we also source fruit from other NSW vineyards.

Our commitment to quality is evident in the numerous international and national awards our wines have received.

Each year, we host multiple 'A Day on The Green' events at our Bowral estate, featuring both local and international acts and drawing up to 14,000 guests.
